Nobody

I’m in love with Nobody,

I love his clear, bright skin,

And the way he’s always so transparent.

It was so easy to let Nobody in.

Nobody never lets me down,

Never forgets my birthday, or fails to get me a gift,

Nobody knows everything about me.

I’m so glad that Nobody exists.

Nobody is there when I’m sad,

He’s the arms around me, holding me tight,

Nobody stays with me until the tears stop falling.

Nobody tells me that it’s going to be all right.

I noticed that I hadn’t posted in a while, and so I thought it couldn’t hurt to share a still-sort-of-kinda in progress poem that’s been sitting in my documents for a while now. I only started writing poetry about five months ago, so I hope you like it!
